Specs – The Pioneer R1’s resolution is rich, and at best of all, at 0.75 pounds and 7.5 x 4.5 x 0.35 inch (L x W x D) dimensions, the Pioneer R1 can be taken anywhere. It has 8GB storage, plus 5GB free cloud storage with Google Drive, and can deliver 1024 x 600 pixels of vibrant content on its 7 inch screen. With 5 hours (average) of battery life and a front-facing camera, the Pioneer R1 has an 802.11bgn wireless capacity and a 1.5 GHz Dual Core processor with 1GB RAM.

Strengths – The Pioneer R1 allows you to connect face-to-face with friends and family using the built-in webcam, and pre-installed Google Play provides access to thousands of apps including games, social media, and more. Best yet, the Pioneer R1 comes in five vivid colors.

Weaknesses – To be sure, the Pioneer R1 is not a high-performance tablet. Many users have complained that the unit arrives with a scratched top, and simply does not advance beyond the Pioneer Electronics page when turned on. Many more users complain that the product does not turn on. When a piece of technology’s greatest weakness is that it won’t turn on, do yourself a favor and use your savings for a higher quality instrument.

Outstanding Features – On its own, the Pioneer R1 does not have any outstanding features. This is a low-end tablet that is pre-loaded with Google Drive so you’ll receive all the benefits of browsing the Google App Store including access to music, movies, books, magazines and TV shows. If you are looking for anything more, with any level of stability, then you should look elsewhere. The majority of people who purchase this tablet cannot use it, and end up wasting $70 on a dysfunctional unit.

Pioneer R1 Summary

The Pioneer R1 is not really a tablet to recommend. It’s a cheap toy that doesn’t have a punch to pack. You an also take a look at similar Android tablets to compare qualities on the Android Page Review.
